French Biker Girl

From my very first impression as a passenger I always liked driving bike. It was very useful to move in Paris so to be at time for appointments. The architects I was working to liked beautiful cars and bike too. At this time most of bike sold in France were made in Japan, and my first bikes were ones of them.
I had followed the news about a French new brand who had conceived a big-engined bike. After testing I bought it. Two months later I received , like others owners, an invite to visit the factory and have a day trip in the mountains between Chambéry and Grenoble.

Leaving Paris on Saturday at 4 AM, I arrived at Chambéry at 10 AM. Three hundred of theses bikes had been sold. About one hundred and fifty owners had travelled to come. After having visited the factory we all started the trip through the Chartreuse mountain on the way to Grenoble.
Driving a bike in Paris is useful; driving softly following the curves of the mountainous roads is a pleasure.
We spent the day driving, sometimes stopping to appreciate beautiful landscapes on the valleys.
In the evening tables were set beside the factory, we had a friendly dinner.

It was 11 PM, I had not made hotel reservation. I heard some bikers were returning to Paris. I decided to make the road back with them.
We separated when arriving near Paris, it was Sunday 5AM, tired, but safety.
A nice trip of 1500 km in 24 hours…

Few weeks later, I imagined this “French Biker Girl”, with the initials of this French brand “BFG”.

Mugler model at airport illustration

The director of the airplane and helicopter company liked Thierry Mugler’s fashion.
Architects were finishing the design of his office at airport. We decided to decorate one wall with an illustration of a woman wearing a model from Mugler’s collection and ready to take an airplane of the company. We offered it to the director at the acceptance of work.
For painting the illustration, because of the metallic texture of airplane, helicopter and building, I choose to work with airbrush.

Helicopter, airplane and suitcases

This airplane and helicopter company had a partnership with Pasccal Morabito's luggage and perfume company. They wanted to publish an advertising showing all their products in "Relais & châteaux" magazine .
At the airport the architect had converted at part of the first floor of the building of the planes and helicopter as a waiting room with a terrace.
Remembering this place, I proposed to show a young couple waiting to embark with their luggage on the terrace and looking at passengers arrived by a plane landed on tarmac and in transit to take an helicopter.
The idea pleased them and I made a sketch to be an illustration. They had seen some of my watercolour works. And we decided to use this technique to do the illustration.
